Joey (J.J.) Snijkers specialises in contract law, corporate law, tenancy law, mergers and acquisitions. Joey is an engaged, curious and enthusiastic lawyer who enjoys supporting his clients with both legal and practical facets.
In 2018, Joey was sworn in as a lawyer and started working at Houthoff Coöperatief U.A. in Rotterdam. At Houthoff, Joey worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions department, where he dealt with (cross-border) transactions for large (international) companies and private equity. Joey assisted clients in due diligence investigations and drafting transaction documentation. After this, Joey moved to the Litigation & Arbitration department, where he was involved in various court proceedings and arbitration proceedings under the auspices of the ICC and the NAI. He further advised on corporate and contract law.
In the period 2019-2021, Joey was part of the board of the Jonge Balie Rotterdam, the organisation responsible for both educational and social activities of 'young' lawyers in the Rotterdam district.
In 2021, Joey transferred to PKF Wallast accountants and tax advisers, where he was a corporate lawyer advising small and large SMEs in the areas of corporate law, tenancy law, estate planning, mergers and acquisitions. In May 2023, Joey made the switch to Pellicaan Advocaten.
